By land:

Máncora can be reached by land via the Northern Pan-American Highway (Panamericana Norte) directly from Lima, Piura, Tumbes, Talara, or other Peruvian cities, via various bus companies and taxis. The highway sections from the airports to Máncora are in perfect condition. The section from Máncora to Las Pocitas is on semi-hard terrain (unpaved), which characterizes us as a rural area in close contact with nature. There are bus companies that offer good service, and although the bus ride from Lima would take 16 to 18 hours (1,165 km) by road, it's not as terrible as it sounds, as long as you choose the right company. There are buses from Guayaquil, Ecuador, to Máncora, the journey taking between 8 and 10 hours.

Airway:

The airports to get to Máncora (from closest to closest) are:

  • Talara Captain Airport FAP Victor Montes Arias

(the transfer to/from the hotel takes 1.30 hours)

  • Tumbes Captain FAP Pedro Conga Rodriguez Airport (the transfer to/from the hotel by car takes 2.5 hours)
  • Piura Guillermo Concha Iberico Airport.

(the transfer to/from the hotel by car takes 3.30 hours)

Please contact the DCO if you would like to make a reservation for a ride at any of the airports in Talara, Tumbes, or Piura. The cost depends on availability and the season. At DCO, we care about your safety. We offer a third-party taxi service that complies with safety protocols for airport pickup and drop-off.
